It was suppose to take us 2 hours or less to drive there but
traffic was so bad it took 3! I
tried to sleep in the car and Hari wanted to as well but that was never going
to happen.
When we pulled into the parking lot I started having what I
call a freak attack. I couldn’t
keep myself calm because I was so insanely excited to be there; I started to
scare Hari I was freaking out so much.
Greatest moment of my life!!!!
Entering the zoo was even more exciting! I couldn’t wait to see the crocodiles Steve was so fond of. Hari though was hungry and we had to get burgers before we did much of anything. The main show started at 12:30, which was just when we finished our burgers!
Turtle!!
Joined us for a burger.
The show was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time it went on. There was a fantastic display of birds that flew over your head and the birds of prey were so cool, I was waiting for the crocs though. When the biggest croc finally came out I had the urge to be right down with the keepers feeding it, don’t think they’d let me though.
Look at the giant croc!
It's a condor, not kidding
Biggest wing-spand I've seen!!
Hello there
Here we go!!!
SO CRAZY!
I want to do that!
And they snap shut with a loud clack!
We ventured around the WHOLE zoo, you’d be surprised how big it actually is and being in the boiling sun makes the walking much harder. I made sure that I saw absolutely everything there was to see before we left the zoo almost 3 hours later.
Water lizard.
Kookaburra
Cassowary!
It's called a bear-cat but it's neither.
I'm sure you know what this is...
Piggies
The history of my dream man... hughhh.
We should have met, I would have fainted though.
<3
Just chillin with a too.
Red pandas!
RAWR!
Hari's favorite animal
A quick preview of Africa.
Look at that horn!
The cutest face ever.
My first wombat!!!!
Komodo dragon!
Native river otter.... feel right at home.
The ride to Brisbane was very upsetting for both of us… it was the last car ride we would have together for a VERY long time. We do plan to see each other but not for years to come. We stopped at a gas station and Hari came back into the car with a plush Dalmatian; I named it Hari just so I wont forget the adventures we had together, I don’t think I ever will. I gave Hari a henna tattoo so he can remember me as well; I am a very unforgettable person though so I don’t think he will forget.
I got to my hostel, said goodbye to Hari and after that my evening was uneventful. I went shopping for food, made a burger, met my roommates and then went to bed. Felt so nice to sleep in an actual bed and have a warm shower for once, although I chose to have the water a bit cooler than usual; I am just so used to cold now.
