Movie Night!!!

After having our morning nap on the bus, I was told I would be a ‘drifter’ for my duties today.  A ‘drifter’ is someone who goes around to each section of the sanctuary and helps out with whatever they can, I am also alone today.  

My day was super uneventful and at times a bit boring.  I started with sweeping and mopping the floor of the reptile and amphibian habitat, as soon as I started this job I knew everything was going to be very chill today.  

I did lots of simple jobs like this throughout the day; hang laundry, clean empty enclosures, sweep the hospital floor, clean dishes.  This pretty much sums up my day at the sanctuary.  The most exciting thing that happened was when Jess and I shared a strawberry milkshake and I got to clean a crazy parrots enclosure.

I did not make dinner tonight because Jess and I are going out for sushi and then to a movie!!!!  You probably won’t find this as exciting as we did but going out for a movie is something Jess and I haven’t done in quite some time, or to get sushi for that matter!  We got three rolls for $5, while eating my last bite of a roll I put too much wasabi on it and started crying… strangely enough I didn’t mind it but I won’t do it again anytime soon.  After dinner Jess was really craving ice cream and some how we managed to get lost in the very very large mall.  In the end we did find it, I got green tea and mango… soooo good!

We raced off to the movie thinking we were going to be late… we got there right on time and sat through 30 minutes of previews; I am not exaggerating, Jess timed it.  When the movie actually started Jess and I were ecstatic! My excitement could NOT be contained but I didn’t want to be annoying so I kept my persona calm.  Just incase any of the readers haven’t seen the movie yet I won’t spoil it for you but you have to see it!

Going to the roof at my hostel was a must after the movie and we just chilled out with Carl and Chloe until I was tired enough to go to bed.
