Day Off!

Woke up in the morning feeling super pleased about my choice to take the day off.  I hopped in the shower and had my first lovely morning shower since I’ve been here.

Had to begin my day somehow but I didn’t let it begin till late afternoon.  I stayed in bed working on the dream catcher, watched a lot of Pokémon and even got to Skype my parents.  I pretty much started crying I was so happy to see them, I wish there was a way that my dogs could Skype me but sadly there isn’t. 

Finally I got my act together and went for a walk to Queens street with Kate that turned into a walk to Southbank and then home.  I bought pasta sauce for dinner tonight even though I wanted sushi or Mexican food.  The walk was really nice and it was so much better doing it with someone, Kate hasn’t walked around Southbank before so I was happy to show her.

Jess and Leah wanted to go out again tonight but I wasn’t really feeling it yet, so I had them over for dinner and cooked for Kate, Jess and Leah.  Oh! Want to know something great?  It turns out that the doctor was wrong and the shingle medicine made things worse for Jess, allergy medicine is what makes the rash go away and her dad (who is a doctor) said it probably isn’t shingles if allergy medicine is fixing it.  So now I don’t have to be as worried about catching something.

Dinner was fantastic and I was convinced to go out with them to a bar, it’s called Lefty’s and it’s Jess’s favorite bar.  She took us through the girl’s washroom and into a secret side bar upstairs, it was pretty cool and Leah bought me a shot vodka.  I was still really tired and called it a night at 10:30.  I was lucky I left when I did because apparently Jess and Leah got hit on by these really weird guys that followed them home.  Luckily Jess and Leah live close so walking home wasn’t an issue.

I slept very soundly that night.
