In the morning I slept past my alarm and woke up at the
exact moment the car arrived to pick me up, thankfully they waited 5 minutes
for me to get myself together. I
did however forget my diving permit back at the house and had to drive all the
way back to get it. Today I am
diving all alone; I have no Christi and no Carly with me. I do have Ali and Michelle with me
though. I don’t know how this
worked out but I did the same two dives I did on my first day in Palau and ate
on the same beach.
Ullong sandy bar was no different but it was nice being able
to go back and see things again but Siase Wall was very cool. I was very relaxed that dive and tucked
my knees into my chest and let the small current carry me far along the
wall. The corals were absolutely
magnificent on this dive, probably the best I have seen so far. Not much else to add to the dives than
that.
When I got back on land Christi was waiting there showing
everyone her GoPro videos of me being a goof. After I had my shower at the shop her and I took off for a
drive to her place; she lives an hour away on a different island. It was very cool getting to see a
different part of Palau. I loved
seeing the lush rainforest and the sky as the sunset. We got back at around 7 but this is where her and I parted
finally, I was very sad to see her go but she gave great advice on travelling
and I don’t think I will ever forget it.
I headed to my room feeling just a tad hungry, so my new
roommate Marcello and I went to the store and got the ingredients for nachos! I gorged myself on cheese and chips
that night but I shared because I am Canadian and that’s what we do.
Going to bed was bitter sweet because I knew that this was
the last night I would be sleeping in Palau and that tomorrow was the last
morning I would wake up here.
