I have now become a pro-packer now! At 5 I was the first to get up, Haressa
wasn’t willing to wake so early, I don’t blame her.
Not that this was very important but the cab driver that
took us to the bus station was extremely rude. He didn’t get out of the car to help us with our bags and
when he finally did, he gave us attitude.
Haressa and I had to part and go our separate ways as sad as
it was. At my stop I waited for 45
minutes and almost fell asleep at the bus stop. Much to my relief I got a seat all to myself and practically
slept the whole ride to Sydney.
The scenery was pretty there but it was all yellow grass, trees, hills
and cattle or sheep, not interesting at all. The ride started at 7 in the morning and I arrived in Sydney
at my hostel at 9:15 at night.
Such a long ride allowed me to learn almost every single song on my
playlist.
The hostel that I am staying at is very big so I am not sure
how easy it will be to make friends but I don’t think it will be a
problem. This is the first time I
have done this on my whole trip… I am staying in a mixed dorm of 8! There are two lovely British brothers
that are here on work, Tim and Alex.
They tell me there use to be two Canadian girls staying in this room but
they left a few days ago, darn! The
boy below my bunk is from Australia and his name is Zac, he is house hunting
while he is here. A girl arrived
this morning while I was asleep and left before I got the chance to say hi but I
am sure I’ll get the chance soon. There
is one more girl in my room but she leaves today and doesn’t seem that friendly
so it is probably for the best.
There is a three-hour walking tour in the morning, I think I
might just do that on my first day here.
