Sydney took forever to wake up and I took forever to get out of bed. The journey today was for the two of us to walk from Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach, not an easy task.
We were super thankful to get into the air-conditioned bus after waiting in the heat for 15 minutes. I almost fell asleep when we got onto the bus and Sydney being tired didn’t help either.
At Coogee beach we applied lots of sunscreen and I realized that I had forgotten my bathing suit bottoms; good thing my underwear matched my top. Walking around in my underwear for the rest of the day was no problem for me. The sun was so hot Sydney and I went swimming at every single beach we stopped at.
Start of the walk at Coogee.
Getting ready for the walk ahead!
What a view.
Besties from Canada.
Long way down...
I think this is a dead Portuguese Man-O-War...
More Jellyfish.
Feet.
Thank god for my water proof camera!
So relaxing!
:)
Where to now?
The different layers of rock are my favourite!
Graves upon graves.
A selfie with the cemetery had to be done... sorry.
Almost at Bondi.
So close.
Another beach to pass.
Getting tired.
I see Bondi!
Victory is so close.
Every view was perfect and I was so happy when Bondi Beach came into view. Sydney and I were tired and sweaty, wanting food and a good rest. The café Trio came into our view and it was just in time as well, I swear Sydney was about to pass out from exhaustion and me from hunger.
I ordered nutella French toast with caramelized bananas and Syd order an incredible tomato chutney fried egg thing with Turkish bread. Sydney and I ate allll our food, how glorious it was to feast.
The exhaustion makes it hard to decide on what to eat
Nutella french toast.... so worth it.
So happy to have food!
The Trio café was incredible and I was pleased I got to spend it with Sydney. The rest of the time we spent it tanning on the beach but there were stupid sand flies that made everything unpleasant. Escaping into the water was our only choice and then leaving for home.
The bus ride was quite and we had to walk 15 minutes through the city with a towel around our waists, neither of us minded though.
At home it was busy, busy, busy getting myself ready to go out to the birthday party. Somehow I managed to make really good time and was at the apartment by 7:15.
It was so much fun taking the train and looking the way I did, heads were defiantly turning. All the guys were drinking and being crazy fools, Julia was the only girl and the only calm one, my place was next to her and we became best friends right away. Before we left for the club she actually gave me her necklace; it is from Lebanon and a reminder of her. Britney, Azooz ex-girlfriend, became another good friend that night and we never left each other sides, only when it was time for me to go home.
There was lots of cake, dancing and drinking before we took a hummer to a club on Sydney Harbor. I almost forgot my ID; thankfully right before we loaded into the hummer I remembered and ran upstairs to retrieve it.
There were several champagne bottles in the hummer and it seemed I was the only one who knew how to open them. I am now a pro at opening champagne bottles; call me if you ever need help opening them!
At the club the whole group got in for free, drinks were not. Britney and I danced together the entire night without taking any breaks. At one point in the night Julia got really sick and that meant it was time to go. A few of us went back into the hummer, which was kind enough to drop me off at the hostel, Julia was well passed out so I gave Azooz and Barri a hug goodbye and headed to my room fairly pleased with the night events.
Holy goodness was I happy to see my bed! I quickly washed my makeup off and then stripped and crawled into my cool bed. Everyone was fast asleep by this point so making too much noise was an issue I avoided.
What a busy day!
