Night in the Pouring Rain

After talking a little bit and saying goodbye and thank you, Haressa and I headed out to go back to the hostel and pack our things… tonight I get to share a hotel with her.  Some breakfast and a shower were in order before we packed our bags and went to her hotel.

When all our things were packed we hopped outside, hailed a taxi and off we went.  I was so tired from last night that when we got to the hotel lobby I almost fell asleep on the couches.  Once in the room we unpacked a bit and then headed out for lunch and to do some shopping for Haressa.

Lunch was so incredibly good!  Haressa bought me a strawberry milkshake, and eggs Benny with sundried tomatoes; it was so good and hit the spot perfectly.  Haressa bought fake eyelashes and some makeup to add to her already extensive collection.

Food!

Back at the room Haressa took a nap and I did some laundry before I also crawled into bed.  We slept for an hour before we got ready for another night out.  We had lots of fun listening to music and curling our hair, I even got to borrow one of her many dresses for myself.

So how while we were sleeping the weather decided to change for the worse and it started to pour!  Haressa kept saying it would stop once we got into out first club or before we left… it never did.

At the first club we waited for her friends Omar and Chris.  Our version of waiting was getting up on stage and dancing to R&B, after a bit I was introduced to lots of people that Haressa has met everywhere.  All of them get super excited when they hear I am from Canada… I don’t understand why.

We stayed till a little past midnight and went back to the hotel so we could fix our hair and makeup before hitting club two.

Not to our surprise, when we came back down the rain hadn’t stopped.  Running through the rain to get taxis and to get into clubs had become a thing that night.

The next club wasn’t as fun and I almost wasn’t allowed in because I only showed my license and not passport.  Inside there were two levels, hence the name of the club Levels.  The first was R&B and the second was rave music or something like that.  Somehow we managed to stay at this club till almost 3 in the morning.  We only met one friend here and Haressa seemed to be focused on the fact that the boy she liked didn’t show up.  I decided he was stupid and didn’t like him for standing such a beautiful girl up!

We got back to the hotel at 3 and went straight to bed because in 2 hours we had to be up to go catch a bus and plane.  Haressa was flying back to Adelaide and I am going to Sydney.  2 hours of sleep was not going to be enough but what can ya do when you want to have fun?
